Sunday, Aug. 23rd - Pastor Karl Kruse
Pastor Karl was born in Lakehurst, New Jersey, and moved frequently during his childhood due to his father’s military career. With the family finally settling in Minnesota, Karl attended college first at Golden Valley Lutheran College (Lutheran Bible Institute), and then finally at Augsburg College. During college, Karl also attended U.S. Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. In 1988, Karl graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa.
Throughout his life, Pastor Karl has traveled significantly, whether for ministry, for educational purposes, for family or other reasons. That “travel bug” has taken Pastor Karl to 44 of the 50 U.S. states, and 18 different foreign countries. He has had the privilege of leading ministry in various capacities throughout the U.S., Europe and Africa, as well as on Native American Indian reservations in South Dakota. In October of 2015, Pastor Karl will be teaching and ministering on a short-term mission in Hosanna, Ethiopia.

Sunday, August 16th - Steve Basney
Sunday we are privileged to hear the Word of God shared with us by Steve Basney, a pastor, a hard working husband and father, and a Partner here at Crossroads. Previously Steve served as pastor at Open Arms Community Church in Howard Lake. Both he and his wife LuAnne have been involved with "YWAM" (Youth With A Mission) for many years. Today Steve will share from Genesis. He will go to the Gospels and explore how Jesus interacts with woman and contrast that with Jewish teaching and the larger culture of the time." From Jesus' conversations with women we get some of the greatest truths ever revealed! Steve and his wife LuAnne have two children, Alison and Natali. Let's thank God for the Basneys' participation with us here at Crossroads and for Steve's preaching today.
